Deja-Move – Once Upon a Time

Deja-Move hat sich im Laufe von nahezu 2 Dekaden mit einem kleinen aber feinen Stand im Bereich der Chilled und Downbeat Musik international etabliert. Kooperationen mit Nneka oder Lizz Fields u.a. kamen auf einer Reihe von Longplayern (7) zwischen 2001 bis 2016 zustande, sowie Veröffentlichungen auf einer Vielzalhl internationaler Labels (BMG; Universal u.a.) mit unzähligen Radio- und TV-Einsätzen. Andreas Bingel hat mit dem Projekt nie seine Wurzeln verlassen. So findet seine Musik (vinylartige Knister-Sounds, Middtempo chillaxte Hip-Hop und Reggae-Beats, mit Retro-Bontempi-Orgeln, Cineastic Themes und einer Prise entspannter Psychedelik garniert) auch immer wieder im Milleu kleiner Kneipen und Bars ihren Platz. ‚Once Upon a Time’ is ein Streifzug, eine Retrospektive, eine Hommage an vergangene Tage. Zu Hören ist bisher Unveröffentlichtes aus den Jahren 2001 bis 2020. So verwundert es nicht, wenn einige Titel an frühe Phasen des Projekts erinnern. Sie entstammen diesen frühen Phasen. Liebevoll zu einer stimmigen Einheit zusammengestellt ergibt sich ein entspanntes Neulingswerk welches die gesamte zeitliche Schaffens-Bandbreite mit angenehmer Schlagseite zum Downbeat präsentiert.

Deja-Move has established itself internationally over the course of almost 2 decades with a small but fine stand in the field of chilled and downbeat music. Cooperations with artists suchlike the names of Nneka or Lizz Fields etc. have established on a number of long players (7) between 2001 and 2016 as well as releases on a multitude of international labels (BMG; Universal and others) with countless radio and TV appearances. Andreas Bingel has never left his path with the project. So his music (vinyllike crackling sounds, middtempo chillaxed Hip-Hop and Reggae beats, garnished with retro Bontempi organs, cineastic themes and a pinch of relaxed psychedelics) always found their place on turntables in small pubs and bars arond the globe. ‚Once Upon a Time’ is an expedition into retrospect, a homage to days gone by. Unpublished from the years 2001 to 2020 can be heard. So it is not surprising when some titles remind of early phases of the project. They come from these early phases. Lovingly put together into a coherent unit that results in a relaxed newcomer presenting the entire creative spectrum of Deja-Move with a slight tendency to the genre “Downbeat”.
